भदौ २८, कतारको विदेश मन्त्री काबुल पुगेका छन् । अफगानिस्तानमा तालिबानहरूले सत्ता कब्जा गरेपछि पहिलो पटक कतारले आफ्ना विदेश मन्त्री पठाएको हो ।
तालिबान र अमेरिकाबीच वार्ता गराउन भूमिका खेलेको र दोहामा तालिबानको राजनीतिक कार्यालय राख्न दिएको कतारले तालिबान सरकारसँग कुरा गर्न आफ्ना विदेश मन्त्रीलाई काबुल पठाएको छ ।
कतारी विदेश मन्त्री शेख मोहम्मद बिन अब्दुलरहमान अल–थानीले आइतबार काबुलमा तालिबान सरकार अन्तरिम प्रधानमन्त्री मुल्लाह मुहम्मद हसन अखुन्दसहित उच्च अधिकारीलाई भेटेका छन् ।
तालिबान सरकारसँग काबुलमा आएर भेटवार्ता गर्ने अल–थानी पहिलो विदेशी मन्त्री हुन् । तालिबान सरकारलाई चीन, पाकिस्तान, रूसले पनि सहयोग गर्ने बताएका छन् । तर उनीहरूले अहिलेसम्म काबुलमा आफ्ना उच्च राजनीतिक अधिकारी पठाइसकेका भने छैनन्।
कतारी विदेश मन्त्री अल–थानीेले तालिबान सरकारका पदाधिकारीसँग अफगानिस्तानमा मेलमिलाप कायम गर्न सबै पक्षलाई समेटेर जान सुझाव दिएका छन् ।
अफगानिस्तानको स्थायित्वलाई चुनौती दिने आतंकवादी समूहसँग लड्नेबारे पनि उनीहरूबीच कुरा भएको कतारको विदेश मन्त्रालयले जनाएको छ।
तालिबान सरकारले भेटवार्ता दुई पक्षीय सम्बन्ध, मानवीय सहायता, आर्थिक विकास र अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय समुदायसँगको सम्बन्धमा केन्द्रित भएको बताएको छ ।
